With its two buildings, the hotel has a wealth of accommodation options to suit every guest’s needs and requirements. The low-rise Garden Wing offers a fabulous garden view and relaxing resort atmosphere. The building houses guestrooms and suites stylishly decked out with elegant wooden furniture. Room choices include Superior (24 square metres), Deluxe (32 square metres), Deluxe Terrace (36 square metres) and Terrace Suites (54 square metres). All rooms have DVD player, satellite TV and Wi-Fi Internet access.
The gleaming matchbox-shaped Ocean Tower features 297 luxurious rooms (Superior, Deluxe, Ocean Deluxe, Family, Executive Ocean Deluxe and Junior Suites and Duplex Suites). Laced in sexy crimson red, the tower’s high-ceilinged lobby seems to sink down into another level, making a dramatic contrast to the landscaped garden outside which exudes Zen-like serenity. All rooms come equipped with not only private balconies overlooking the scenic Pattaya Bay, but also modern conveniences such as flat screen TV, DVD player, individually-controlled air conditioner, Wi-Fi connection and electronic safe box (roomy enough to fit a laptop).

As if all these aren’t enough, stay in any of the Executive Ocean Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, Duplex Suites or Executive Ocean Suites for a host of exclusive privileges and amenities offered by the Horizon Club on the 19th and 20th floors. The real highlight of most rooms and suites in this tower, however, is an innovative open bathroom concept with a bathtub sitting right behind the bed. No worries if you’re less of an exhibitionist, a discreet automatic blind will quickly come to your rescue. Alternatively, opt for a nice soaking under the rain shower showerhead in a spacious walk-in shower.
Larger than life facilities
Aiming to offer guests the utmost comfort, Amari Orchid holds nothing back when it comes to its facilities (which can be shared among guests from both Ocean Tower and Garden Wing). With plenty of space to spare, the hotel manages to put two gorgeous swimming pools (lap and free form) in the well-manicured garden between the two buildings. Dotted with palm trees and a lot of green patches, the garden is a perfect place to laze away or work on your tan. For the total body and mind relaxation, make a visit to Sivara Spa, where an extensive range of treatments and pampering are on offer. And if you’re looking to shred some sweat, look no further as a fitness centre is on the same floor. Other notable facilities include business centres and conference and banquet facilities.
Fabulous dining options
Unlike Bangkok, Pattaya seems to get a free pass when it comes to late opening hours. This works in favour of extreme night owls as some of the hotel’s outlets stay open until the break of dawn. Set right next to the garden-surrounded outdoor pool, Essence (located in Ocean Tower) serves up a variety of international cuisine around the clock. Also within the grounds of the hotel premises is Mantra Restaurant & Bar, a chic eatery featuring various mouthwatering Asian and Mediterranean cuisine in seven open kitchens (Japanese, Indian, Chinese, Western, Mediterranean, Charcoal Grill and Seafood).
And whatever you need to quench your thirst with – be it Beaujolais or Bordeux, you can find it in the restaurant’s walk-in wine cellar where an impressive list of over 160 branded wines from all over the world is stocked. Complementing its eclectic, yet fascinating décor is Mantra’s themed corners with risque monikers like Hedonist Harlem, Opium Den, Sultan’s Table, Opera Seats and Main Theatre. For a less intense atmosphere, head to the swanky, 24-hour ICE Bar in the lobby of Ocean Tower for a dose of live jazz and delicious cocktails. Other eating options include Pool Bar, Henry J Bean's Bar & Grill, Lobby Bar and Orchid Terrace (the latter two located in Garden Wing).
